Crafoord Auktioner Stockholm has been entrusted with the honour of presenting the themed auction "Vasa Konst Collection II"—an extensive selection of nearly 100 works from an exceptional art collection.
The auction highlights the natural place of art within the home, where it serves as a living element that engages both the senses and the mind. Spanning several centuries and styles, the collection offers a rich and varied selection.
Vasa Konst is a family-owned business founded in 1993 in Uppsala, specialising in Swedish painting from the late 19th century to the present day. Through deep expertise and extensive experience, the firm has cultivated trusted relationships with museums, institutions, and collectors.
Highlights include Efter badet ("After the Bath") by Ingrid Ruin—a student of Albert Edelfelt and Anders Zorn—as well as works by Per Gummeson, John Sten, and Uno Vallman, all notable for their powerful color palettes. The collection also features two expressive, dramatic coastal scenes by Olof Thunman; evocative evening landscapes by Siri Schotte, Carl Johansson, and Adam Edwin Proctor; and vibrant summer vistas by Robert Thegerström and Ella Wanner.
Furthermore, the collection contains several expressive depictions of Stockholm, including Bernhard Oscarsson’s Strandvägen, Tor Hörlin’s Slussen, and Einar Kihlman’s Pålsundet.
We invite you to attend the viewing and the auction—an inspiring art experience for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
