For over a century, these dolls have gazed back at their owners with the same serene expression. Now, the time has come for them to meet new ones.
This themed auction brings together antique German bisque dolls—primarily from the 1895–1930 period—featuring names such as Kämmer & Reinhardt, Simon & Halbig, J.D. Kestner, Heubach, Armand Marseille, and other renowned manufacturers. The selection includes character dolls, character babies, larger dolls, and smaller collector’s items—many featuring sleeping eyes, open mouths, wigs, and the characteristic composition bodies typical of the era.
Each doll holds its own story—from meticulously sculpted features and hand-painted details to the patina that only a century of time can bestow. The auction offers everything from well-preserved rarities to pieces with a rich patina, with every face bearing witness to an era when doll-making reached one of its absolute zeniths.
