Crafoord Auktioner Stockholm bids farewell to the past year and welcomes the new one in the best possible way. Under the heading Art & Antiques, more than 300 exceptional examples of art and antiques from across the globe are on offer. And if one must begin this brief introduction somewhere, perhaps Paris is the natural choice. From there comes a pair of magnificent potpourri urns of exquisite craftsmanship.

Not far from the city of love and art, we find Emile de Cawier's depiction of small-town architecture in oil—a serene portrayal in stark contrast to, for instance, the Italian wig box and Arvid Lundbäck's Ottoman riders. These treasures are showcased alongside Gustavian works from Stockholm, an 18th-century chandelier, Chinese porcelain, Japanese woodcuts, antique silver, a portrait of Gustav IV Adolf, and so much more.
