Auction houses charge fees to cover extensive work within for ex. valuing, researching, describing, cataloging, photographing or handling.

Price list for British auction houses
For auctions online on British auction houses you pay a buyer's premium of 25% incl. VAT plus a hammer fee of 5 GBP incl. VAT.
For example, if your winning bid is 100 GBP, the buyer's premium will be 30 GBP for a total of 130 GBP.
Other auction houses
You normally* pay a buyer's premium of 25% incl. VAT plus a hammer fee of 8 EUR incl. VAT.
For example, if your winning bid is 100 EUR, the buyer's premium will be 25 EUR incl. VAT and the hammer fee will be 8 EUR incl. VAT for a total of 133 EUR incl. VAT.
According to European directives, a resale right fee of max. 5% applies for certain pieces of art. If this fee applies, the item page will inform clearly about that. Read more about resale right.
The buyer’s premium may differ regarding hammer auctions, depending on the policies of each auction house.
The total cost shown before you confirm your bid includes these fees.
If you don't collect the item yourself at the auction house, we can ship it for you at an additional charge. Transport prices and options are listed on each item's page.
You are of course free to choose any other company for transportation but it will not be easy to beat our extremely competitive prices.
For items that are not collected within the indicated time a storage fee of 5 EUR incl. VAT/day will be charged.
If the invoice is not paid in time we send you a reminder email and add a reminder fee of (5 EUR) incl. VAT.
Some items may have a lower fee, or no fee at all, for example when they're part of a charity events. This will also be indicated before you confirm your bid.
