Leaving Rörstrand
After 30 years at Rörstrand, Carl-Harry Stålhane left the factory where he had worked since he was 19 years old. He then started Designhuset in Lidköping, an experimental ceramic center. In addition to ceramic production for commercial purposes, they also offered education. At its peak, about ten people were active within the company. The production consisted of utility goods, decorative items, unique sculptures, and artware. Other artists active at Designhuset included Timo Sarvimäki and Henrik Allert.
