Mersad Berber was born in Bosanski Petrovac, in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, and grew up amid the rich cultural tapestry of the Balkans. From an early age, he showed exceptional artistic promise, leading him to enrol at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he studied painting and graphic arts. His education was rooted in classical technique, anatomy, composition, and mastery of materials, but he was equally drawn to exploring new forms of visual storytelling.
