Description
The ring is made of 925 silver and hallmarked accordingly, plus the maker's mark SZ and the old stamp from Danzig with a woman's head, fineness and the letter "G" for Gdansk = Danzig.
The hand-forged ring head is set with a large, transparent honey amber cabochon with natural inclusions. This is held by a smooth frame and is surrounded by a decorative setting made of intertwined silver bands with partial nielloing.
RG 55 = inner diameter of the ring band 17.5 mm, ring head 25.4 x 21.3 mm, amber 21 x 14.5 mm = approx. 10 cents
Weight 6.6 grams.
