Carl Bechstein.
In the middle of the 19th century, orchestras grew from 30-40 musicians, up to around 100. This led to a need for new instruments with greater sound power, and after his studies of French and English piano making, Carl Bechstein was ready by 1853 to deliver pianos that met the new requirements.

The newly established factory in Berlin quickly became a favorite supplier to the great artists and orchestras.
Tradition “Tradition should be the preservation of the fire, rather than the worship of the ashes. "(Gustav Mahler) C.Bechstein has throughout his history kept a watchful eye on the possibility of perfecting the already sublime.
