Alfabild. Pelé. Brazilian former football player born 1940. A colored Alfabild of Pelé from the 1958 World Cup in Stockholm. Pelé was only 17 years old when the World Cup was played, and this image is most likely the first collector's card of him ever produced. On the back, a short printed text about him.

Pelé, actually Edson Arantes do Nascimento, born October 23, 1940, in Três Corações in Minas Gerais, is a Brazilian former football player. He played for the Brazilian national team 1957–71 and contributed significantly to the team winning World Cup gold in 1958 and 1970.
Alfabilder were collector's cards that came with boxes of Alfa Bobbykola and Alfa pastill tablets in Sweden. The tablets consisted of hard sweet lumps, and many bought the tablets solely for the sake of the pictures. Around 1,700 pictures of athletes were issued over the years 1949–1961, originally in black and white, but in color from 1955. Originally, football players were portrayed, but from 1956 also ice hockey players.
