Description
An English-made classical six-string guitar by Smart & Taylor, Luthiers, Chatham, England, dated 1991, the internal maker's label inscribed in Roman numerals MCMXCI.
Of traditional classical form, with natural-finished soundboard, decorative patterned rosette, dark fingerboard and bridge, rosewood-type back and sides with contrasting centre line, and slotted headstock.
Fitted with decorative gilt tuning machines with pearlescent buttons.
Bearing the original Smart & Taylor maker's label internally.
Together with a fitted hard case, with burgundy plush-lined interior and black simulated crocodile-effect exterior.
Condition
In good used condition overall, with some light surface marks, scratches and general signs of use.
Currently fitted with only a single string and therefore playability, action and neck condition have not been fully assessed.
Some tarnishing and general age-related wear to the tuning hardware.
