Beech, upholstery of braided saddle girth.

Bruno Mathsson was a Swedish furniture designer / architect. In 1934, Mathsson created a chair in flex-glued book with saddle girth upholstery that was body-adapted. The chair came to mean a renewal of Swedish furniture art. In 1936, Mathsson exhibited his furniture in a separate exhibition at the Röhsska Handicraft Museum in Stockholm. The exhibition contributed to his breakthrough and Mathsson was invited after the Stockholm exhibition to participate in the world exhibition in Paris the following year. Mathsson's furniture has become timeless classics that combine both style and comfort.
