
The Japanese cufflinks are made in the style of the antique tsubae (= sword handles) and have gold inlays in white and yellow gold 24 carat in blackened iron. They have a 12-wave rosette shape on the depiction of Mount Futsijama against a lake backdrop with boats. On the back they each have a short piece of chain and a lanceolate gag with inserts.
Diameter of the visible side 16.6 mm, length of the toggle 15.6 mm, weight 5.8 grams.
Rarely preserved pieces of jewelery from Japan from around 1915/20.
Very good condition, hardly worn.
