Foil. Approx. 310 x 230 mm. Planschings and illustrations in the text. Contemporary leather band, 5 raised volumes, title and author in gold on back, “C, T,” in gold on front cover, book owner label “Carl-Th. Thäberg' all-gold cut, marbled front and trailing leaves.

Provenance: Friherrliga ätten Cronstedt in Sweden and Finland.
Carl-Theodor Thäberg (1898-1970), head of the Nordic Rotogravyr, married Friherrinan Beatrice Cronstedt. Founded in 1918 by book printers Simon Söderstam and Harald Olsen, Nordisk Rotogravyr quickly became one of the leading printing houses in the Nordic countries. Later there was also a publishing movement with an emphasis on larger works of art (from 1925) and the monthly magazine Foto (from 1939). Artistic director from 1923 was Anders Billow (1890-1964), well-known graphic designer and publicist.
