Qin Shi Huangdi (秦始皇帝; pinyin: Qín Shǐ Huángdì), "First Emperor of Qin", personal name Ying Zheng (嬴政; pinyin: Yíng Zhèng), born 259 BC, died 210 BC, was the thirty-first ruler of the Qin Empire (and the sixth ruler to be called king by his state). He crowned himself the first emperor of Qin Dynasty China in 221 BC. after uniting it into small states, the country split.
