Impact lock carbine, Smith model, manufacturer marked ADDRESS POULTNEY & TRIMBLE BALTIMORE U.S.A. Manufactured in 30,000 copies for the U.S. Army 1861-1865. With military inspection stamps and double cartouches on the piston.

Numbercorrect. Walnut flask with iron fittings. Bruised barrel with grooved barrel in .50 caliber. Flame-hardened box, blown fittings and screws. Length 99,5 cm.

Two plastic sleeves are included.

Courage comment: An exceptionally fine specimen with close to all original finishes retained.

Condition

Mechanical in new condition, race in new condition with full gloss. Minor wear and tear.
