487775. KARL LUDWIG KÜHNLE (1900-1981). "Idyllic Forest", oil on canvas, sign. and that.

Description

Dimensions: 63 x 82 cm.

Original painting by Karl Ludwig Kühnle (sign. KLK) and dated 1974. In an impressionistic manner, the artist dabbed several layers of oil paint onto the canvas. This resulted in an image with intense color from which the light seems to radiate.

Karl Ludwig Kuehnle was born in Kuppingen. At his mother's request, he studied theology, but painting will have a long-term influence on his life. His paintings were particularly appreciated at home. In 1965 he attracted national attention with his large exhibition in Herrenberg. In 1977 (awarded the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg) and 1980 (awarded the Citizens' Medal in Gold), further comprehensive exhibitions followed. In his birthplace, Kuppingen, there is Karl-Kühnle-Platz, which was named after the "Painter of the Gäu".
The painter and artist from the Black Forest described his life's work as a painter in a biography entitled "Victory of Light".
