Description

Converted from flint lock to percussion lock. Second half of the 18th century. Signed H. DOMNERUS on the clasp. Hans Domnerus (1750-1805) was the son of the well-known gunsmith Jonas Domnerus (1710-1771). Hans Domnerus began his apprenticeship in Norrtälje with Lorenz Björkman. He later returned to Jönköping and became a master at the Jönköping Faktori. Married in 1785 to the maid Stina Sandström.

Stock in carved elm, fittings in iron. Pipe with patent tail screw and floral ornament on the handle, smooth drilled in caliber 15mm. Length 130.5 cm.

Condition

Well functioning lock. Wear, missing charging rod and horn nose. minor injuries.
