Description

Rifle signed E.PHILLIPS NEW YORK and CAST STEEL on the barrel. Edward Phillips was an active gunsmith in New York around 1851 onwards and had as his specialty target shooting rebounders.

Walnut flask with heraldic eagle inlaid in cheek support. Engraved steel details. The barrel is fixed with a square screw on the underside. Mechanism with snell pressure and diopter, adjustable grain with sun protection. Octagonal, fluted barrel in caliber 9.75mm/.38.
Length 114 cm.

Courage comment: A very beautiful and well-worked rifle of the classic American cut. Very unusual in the Swedish and europeanmarkets.

Condition

Mechanically well-functioning, very easy to print snell print. Sharp and clear grooving. Wear, light brown poring surface in the surface.
