A British 1854 Pattern Water Canteen, constructed from wood with metal strengthening bands, stamped to one side with broad arrow, 'WD' and the date 1859, this type of canteen used in the Crimean War and in service until 1860, 18.5cm wide.
Condition
Good overall condition with wear commensurate with age, stopper and sling absent.
