The current owner's father bought the car in 1990. The car was reportedly used by one owner in the period c. 1960—1987. Then there are a couple of short-term registered owners, most likely connected by estate and without the car having been in use.
According to the lubrication notes, on 4 June 1966 the car has gone 5,175 miles and on 7 July 1970 stood at 5,929 miles. That equates to about 190 miles per year between these services.
In the inspection minutes of 18 January 1988, when the owner's father took over the car after it had been standing for some time, the gauge position was recorded at 7,783 miles. That translates to an average mileage of about 130 miles per year since service in 1970.
There used to be a driving record reportedly listing only about 8,000 miles, but this documentation has unfortunately disappeared over the years.
It's a bit of detective work for the buyer to do the investigation/assessment if the car has only gone 8,300 miles.
