Earthenware with decor in relief of pine cones. Signed HP 1921 8457. Height 14 cm. Diameter 17 cm.
Immediately after graduating from the Technical School (now Konstfack) in 1899, Hilma Persson-Hjelm (1877-1953) was employed at Rörstrand as a model maker, and remained there until 1907 when she moved home to Arvika and opened her own workshop. There she created artistic earthenware with plant motifs in relief, which she attracted attention with, for example, at the Art and Industry Exhibition in Stockholm in 1909.
