It was previously owned by Maurice Smith, Texas, and subsequently by Rickey Rector, Texas, before being exported to Finland by Mika Jaakola, from whom the current owner acquired it.
Pierce-Arrow belonged to the true luxury cars of its time. Owners included the White House, Charlie Chaplin, other Hollywood stars, aviation pioneer Orville Wright, maharajas, and royalty. The Swedish "gold king" John Bryntesson, who found his fortune in Nome, Alaska, also acquired a Pierce-Arrow.
