The brush pot carved in relief featuring scholars playing weiqi. 20cm x 12.5cm diam.

An ox bone sting puzzle game, China. The nine cylindrical bone sections can be pulled downwards revealing a different arrangement of the coloured string. Each bone section is 7.5cm length.

Together with a hinged box and cover decorated with a rose and leaves, 10cm length x 9.5cm height x 7.5cm depth.

Condition

Some splits around the bamboo brush pot.

One string has split which needs attention but the puzzle does work as it is.

Box and cover with no issues.
