Handknotted Persian Bakhtiari carpet, likely from the mid-20th century. Classic “garden pattern” (Khesti) with routine division where each field bears flowers, trees of life or stylized plants in shades of red, blue, black, ivory and green. Dense wool floss on cotton warp.

Condition

Normal wear and tear
The folded edges have some deformation and exhibit slight curvature, probably from long-term storage in a rolled state, some warping in shape and folded edges occur. Normal patina for age and use.
