Description

Unique and organically crafted vase made of lightly glazed stoneware.

Signed by Frank Hejndorf and done in his own workshop. Dated 1976 and sticker with exhibition number.

Height: 24.5 cm. Diametro: 20 cm.

Frank Hejndorf was a Danish ceramist who combined his keen interest in botany with the art of creating sculptures in ceramics. Hejndorf was originally trained as a gardener and plant pathologist, but after losing three fingers on his left hand in an accident during his conscription, he began cultivating pottery as a creative hobby with his wife. This developed into a deep interest and he became known for his sculptures and vases inspired by plants, seeds, flower bulbs and mushrooms. Frank Hejndorf had his debut at Charlottenborg's Spring Exhibition in 1975.
