Description
The christening tankard embossed with flowers and other decoration, with a circular cartouche bearing a monogram, stood on a splayed circular foot with beaded edge. Hallmarked William Evans, London, 1864, Height 11cm x Diameter 10cm (at widest points), weight 4.2ozt. Together with another Victorian silver christening tankard, gilded inside with engine turned decoration and stood on a rounded foot. Hallmarked Robert Garrard II (R & S Garrard & Co), London, 1868, weight 6.3ozt. Total weight 10.5ozt. (2).
Condition
General age and handling wear, visible marks, scratches and some dents in places. Embossed tankard rocks on its foot, slightly misshapen. Please see online images.
