1925 Watercolor on laid paper, monogrammed and dated lower right. Verso sitting dog (fragment), watercolour. 28.7 x 23 cm (sheet). In the passe-partout.
The present five watercolors undoubtedly form an artistic unit in the work of the painter Walter Jacob. They were probably created during a stay on the island of Rügen, which is documented for 1925, and reflect the expressive work phase of the Sterl pupil. Artistically, the watercolor series is close to the work of Emil Nolde, whom Jacob met in the same year.
