Apud Dominicum & Petrum Bosc, Tolosae (Toulouse), 1619. First Scalier edition. Folio in a contemporary dark brown leather band with mute back and colorful marbled cut. Illustrated with a large engraved vignette on the title page and a butterfly on page 44 and with engraved brackets. Title page printed in red and black. (XXXIUI), 1248 pp. , (XXIII).
Text in Greek and Latin. Aristotle's zoology is said to have had an influence on zoology for 2,000 years.
