This truck was delivered new to the Swedish Army and converted to gengas during the war. Subsequently, it served in the Möklinta Volunteer Fire Department where it was hailed by firefighters as the “best wagon we had” — fast, strong and comfortable.
In 1969, it was saved from the scrap yard by Helge Larsson, Heby, who first rebuilt it into an EPA tractor but quickly realized the truck's true value. After an extensive renovation and installation of a new Hesselman wood gas unit in 1982, it lives on thanks to Helge's dedication and craftsmanship.

Along for the ride was the current owner's dad who was friends with Helge.
After Helge's passing in 2018, the current owner's father was allowed to take over the truck.
Since 2021, the current owners have been caring for and caring for Chevrolet.

Gengas
When driving on firewood, 4—5 kilograms of firewood are consumed per mile, where a liter of gasoline corresponds to approximately 2—2.5 kg of firewood in energy content.
The wood consumption is 0.8—1 kg per hour of horsepower, and a full backfill in the generator lasts between 5 and 15 miles, depending on the quality of the wood, humidity and engine load.
The data is taken from the classic Instruction Book for Wood Gas Generators from 1941 — a copy that Helge Larsson brought with him on his tours.
