plywood kit in polylon.

Height 68,5, width 66, depth 67, seat height approx. 36 cm.

“Index was included in Maj-Britt Ericsson's article Autumn New Furniture, published in the ninth issue of Villa & Hem in 1972. When describing IKEA's new plastic collection, the author noted that:

“Many people still find it difficult to accept plastic as a furniture material but this is the future and we just have to get used to it.”

Index was also one of six Swedish-made plastic armchairs pictured in the article Furniture in plastic, published in the third issue of Plasticsverden
in 1973. Here it was described as follows:

“After several years of development work, Interplast launched its mountable armchair 'Index' in the summer of 1972. This chair consists of 6
pcs ABS parts with a total weight of about 5 kg, which are easily and completely tool-free assembled into an elegant, timeless armchair. It is marketed
in Sweden by IKEA. Injection molders are Sergerljung & Co.””
