Shank in eagle's head horn, blade with engraved text “Acapulco Honor y Gloria/Guerrero a mi Patria”
Provenance: Ivar Thord Grey (Ivar Hallström 1878-1964).
Participated in 13 wars as Colonel/General Person for Russia, England, United States, Mexico, Philippines, China.

PROVENANCE
Ivor Thord-Gray (born Thord-Ivar Hallström) 1878-1964.
Swedish-born adventurer born on Södermalm in Stockholm, went to sea as a 16-year-old. For the following 28 years, Ivar/Ivor lived as adventurers, constantly on the move around the globe.
Said sometimes to be the source of inspiration for Burroughs's “Tarzan” after an incident in the Cape Province, Africa, where he was serving in the English Army. Therefore, Burroughs is supposed to have named Tarzan Lord Graystoke.
Thord-Gray participated in 13 wars as colonels/generalist for Russia, England, the United States, Mexico and China, among others.
He also served in 1906 in Mindanao, Philippines.
Fought for Pancho Villa during the Mexican Revolution of 1913, later as chief of staff for future president Carranza.
He also lived as a farmer in Malaya (now Malaysia and Myanmar) 1909-11.
In 1922, Thord-Gray retired and settled in the United States, where he wrote books on pre-Columbian archaeology, including:
“From the Antiquity of Mexico: Among Temple Ruins and Images of Gods”, 1923, and “Gringo Rebel: Mexico 1913—1914", Miami 1961.
