A fragment of La Gaceta attached to the reverse identifies the person portrayed from a dedication to commemorate his death at the age of 19 in the African War with a sonnet dedicated to “The Earth be light to him”. Along with this, a handwritten inscription by its former owner: “I have kept this newspaper in my possession 41 years, 2 months and 18 days” in Barcelona on September 30, 1901 and signed “Ramón Torres”.

Condition

With some flaws in the support, small holes and a patch on the back. Silver-plated wooden frame.
