Description

Chrome-plated tube stand, sewn-in plush layers with polyether flock padding. Sandy-colored cotton/linen upholstery.

Back height 70 cm, seat height 25-35 cm, width 68 cm, depth 70 cm.

“IKEA's collection in the first half of the 1970s included several so-called “low cost armchairs” that really justified the name. One such was
the 70 cm high Revolt. In the 1974 IKEA catalogue, the armchair cost only 129 kr, which for example was almost 100 kr less than the wheeled one
the Klav armchair in the same catalogue was priced at 215 SEK. The Revolt had a chrome-plated tube stand. The puffy plumes were sewn and upholstered with polyester flock. The model was described by IKEA
catalog copywriter as a “low-cost armchair in the lightweight, comfortable style”. And it was light, only eight kilos. For the form Gillis Lundgren answered
and the invitation from IKEA read:
“Treat yourself to multiple Revolt!”
Revolt was a modified variant of Gillis Lundgren's year-older predecessor
It's time.“
