Description
Having a three plank top with a interlaced circle carved design, the front having an arched carved frieze and three panels carved with floral star motifs, the sides carved with the same floral star motifs and with a leafy S scroll lower frieze, above a moulded edge and block feet, 110cm wide 61.5cm high 53.5cm deep.
Condition
Well carved piece, carving appears to be later, the lid has had boards added for bracing and dovetails as the planks have started to pull slightly apart, some chips and scuffs to the moulded near the base, some minor woodworm to the back legs, lock plate and escutcheon is later, latch is missing but is is not unusual, feels solid and is ready for use in the home.
