Description

The early 20th Century violin with a one-piece back, labelled 'Praga Eugenio fece in Genova 1908', with case labelled 'W. E. Hill & Sons, Violin Makers, 140, New Bond Street, London', and a bow, the violin measuring 60cm total length, 35.5cm length of back, 74cm bow length.

Condition

Case includes a business card with hand-written list from a recent service: replacing bridge, strings and tailpiece, otherwise no visible signs of sound post cracks, a corner of one rib has chipped off and has been reattached using filler, several surface splits to the back, otherwise wear and dings in expected places like back of neck, ribs, edges, back etc. from years of playing, overall a good quality modern Italian violin.
