History and provenance:

Sven Borgström worked as a designer and illustrator during the 1950s and 1990s. Ahead of the Vasa ship salvage, he was asked if he could illustrate how the salvage would be done. Sven then had to be lowered into a diver's watch and see the ship on the bottom. After receiving information about the planned approach, he drew these sketches.

Stockholms Auktionsverk, Magasin 5 sold large parts of Borgström's collections in October 2024. Link to the auction below:
