FOCUS: Ove Lindblom studied at Konstfack's sculpture line between 1957 and 1961. Following her education, Lindblom worked as a sculptor, designer and interior designer and has designed a range of public environments. Lindblom is best known as an interior designer for the rooms that were inaugurated in 1980 in connection with the project at the Central Hospital in Karlstad, which went by the name “Centralhospitets livingunit”. The work was led by architect Gunnar Hollström and Lindblom was responsible for the interiors, his own design was mixed with Danish design and art from artists from Värmland, including Harry Moberg. The rooms that were designed consisted of, among other things, a dining room for the staff, a training unit, a boardroom that came to be called one of Värmland's most beautiful rooms, but also public rooms.
Karlstad-Hammarö Auktionsverk is proud to offer two sofas and a fireplace designed by Lindblom housed in what later came to be known as the Konsthall Stove Room, named after the centrally monumental fireplace found in the environment. From 2015-2023, the “Spisrum” will serve as a regional Värmlands konsthall where contemporary Värmland art was exhibited.
Normal wear and tear, stains, 1 side pad with damage.
