Peter Witt (b. 1966), Sylt mudflats, oil on canvas, signed, ca. 50 x 70 cm
In the 1980s, Peter Witt began painting using a spatula technique and found his motifs mostly on the coasts of northern Germany. Since 1991, he has exhibited his works annually on Sylt and in 1994, together with Stefan Dobritz, opened his own gallery in the gatehouse of Gut Hasselburg. Today, Witt and Dobritz run a gallery in Westerland on Sylt.
