Label-marked. Frame consisting of brass slats with amber glass decor, white lacquered inside.
25x25 cm, height 21 cm.
Provenance: Inga-Lisa Persson, economist at Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) was one of the most prominent designers of our time. After an architecture degree in Gothenburg, and later employment as an industrial designer at General Motors, Jakobsson worked at Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus. Driven to test his philosophy of good design, where every part of the luminaire would get its interest from the designer, Jakobsson moved in 1951 to Markaryd in Småland and founded Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB. Brass lamps became the hallmark of the company over time, and the luminaires produced according to Jakobsson's philosophy have proved immensely popular with collectors and interior designers worldwide thanks to their well-thought-out design.
Normal wear and tear. Scratches. Not functional tested.
