Large-format lithograph on handmade paper, illegibly signed and dated 1980 lower left, with the notes "Probe" & "Untitled". Acquired at the time in the Hanover state parliament, the artist thematises the connections between modern and past times in his depiction. In the lower left corner we see a harmonious, time-free, 19th-century entertainment. Then, in a stylized house, the revolutionary railway transport vehicle and a wandering cat appear - escape?, development? - and in the lower right corner the seller of photographic technology is annoyed by an interested young lady who hasn't made a purchase. The roof gable is crowned by the Lower Saxony horse, a typewriter and Siemens fuse boxes. In the far sky is the moon, presumably the moon.
