Jordi Martin for Italica, Spain: replica of the legendary Jaguar radiator figure, 'The Leaper', bonze, polished, monogrammed at the foot and with the stamp of the manufacturer Italica, on the base signed by Jordi Martin and emblem of Italica, with marble base, ca. 21 x 47 x 12 cm
Radiator figure of the British car brand Jaguar. The so-called “Leaper” has been used on the radiator of Jaguar cars since the 1940s. Because of the high risk of injury it posed to pedestrians, the jaguar was banned in the 1970s. The automotive brand then developed a new radiator figure that automatically folds away as soon as it hits an obstacle.
Minor signs of use.
