The Vectrex is an 8-bit video game console developed by the company General Consumer Electric (GCE) and later acquired by the Milton Bradley Company.The Vectrex was odd as a game console because it had a built-in monitor with vector graphics. It was launched as a game console with colors, despite only drawing up white lines on a black background. Included with each game were transparent plastic discs (so-called “overlays”) with different colored areas that were attached in front of the monochrome monitor.
