Jezail, long-armed flintlock rifle, which was frequently used in Central Asia and parts of the Middle East in the past. It was popular among the Pashtun tribesmen and was mainly used by the Pashtuns in the Anglo-Afghan Wars. Jezails were regarded as very personal weapons, so they were generally well made and usually intricately decorated.
