The Drive Tournament ran between 1907 - 1928 and was the first tournament in London to feature hard courts (originally concrete, later clay). The piece is signed lower left by the artist G. Halliday and was probably produced by the renowned British firm Elkington & Co. (Founded in Birmingham in the 1830s).
