HISTORY: Based on the model at Blasieholmstorg Stockholm, a larger bronze sculpture of a Byzantine horse based on “The Byzantine Horses” in St. Mark's Square, Venice, which is dated to 300 BC. to 300 AD. and came in the 13th century from Constantinople to Venice. This type of model, also called “Handelsbankshästen” was given after long and faithful service at Handelsbanken.
