Joan Riera Ferrari, born in Mallorca in 1942 and died in 2017, studied Fine Arts in Barcelona, and returned to Mallorca in 1967. During the 1980's, he participated in ARCO, creating outstanding series such as Mallorca and Roques, and exploring themes such as time and the struggle between the sea and the rock.
In the new millennium, he collaborated with galleries in Mallorca and Barcelona, held retrospective exhibitions and explored new techniques. His artistic legacy encompasses themes such as the passage of time, the divine and earthly duality, and the fascination for the struggle between sea and rock. Joan Riera Ferrari left a truly multifaceted mark on the art world.
