"Per Claes Sven Edvard Engdahl, born February 25, 1909 in Småland Artillery Regiment parish, Jönköping, died May 4, 1994 in S:t Petri parish, Malmö, was a Swedish politician and journalist. He is known as the founder of the New Sweden movement, whose leader he remained until his death. Within the Riksförbundet Det nya Sverige, Engdahl developed an ideology he called "new Sweden", which was characterized by extreme nationalism, anti-communism, corporatism and anti-Semitism; among other things, they advocated the abolition of the Riksdag and the so-called Madagascar Plan, a proposal that Europe's Jews would be deported to the then French colony of Madagascar.".
