Karl Lagasse (born 1981), This Note Is, acrylic and spray paint on canvas, collaged aluminum dollar, 2022, signed and titled on the reverse, enclosed with a certificate from the artist, here inscribed '36 of the collection, 1/1 unique work' and on the reverse the stamp of 'Christian Ferrari, official expert Karl Lagasse', approx. 62 x 46 cm
Lagasse comes from a family of artists and grew up in Paris, where he created his first works of art as a teenager and was part of the graffiti scene in the Paris metro. He soon began to integrate collages into his works, and numerous exhibitions in Paris and Brussels followed. In 2009 he was one of the most famous sculptors under 30 and is now best known for his 'One Dollar' sculptures.
