The film adaptation of Strindberg's Hemsöborna, adapted by Einar Malm, was made in 1944 under the direction of Sigurd Wallén. Adolf Jahr played Carlsson and Dagmar Ebbesen as madam Flod. Emil A. Lingheim was in charge of the mowing.
