Rune Person, born 1914 in Sundbyberg, died 1990 in Delsbo, was a Swedish painter. After studying at Otte Sköld's painting school in the 1930s, he continued his art studies at the Art Academy between 1934 and 1940, where he had Otte Sköld as his teacher. Together with the recognized artist Isaac Grünewald, Rune Person made an important study trip to Paris in 1937. His artistic debut took place in 1942, and since then he had a long series of exhibitions, including at the Art Academy.

Rune Person was nicknamed "Sundbyberg's Cézanne" because of his impressionistic art style and his ability to depict light, color and motifs in a lyrical way. His artistic work was appreciated not only by the public and critics, but also by his fellow artists, including the well-known artist Ragnar Sandberg. Sandberg was close to Person and gave him support and praise during a period when Rune Person felt hesitant about his artistic work and you can discern a shared inspiration in their work.

Rune Person's artwork was characterized by pale light, subtlety of execution and an ability to capture everyday moments with a poetic tone. His artistic legacy lives on in his paintings and continues to move and inspire art lovers.
